We deliver to three Wal-Mart DC's, two grocery and one dry goods. The grocery in Cheyenne I've never had a problem with, the one in N. Platte I've had minor issues with, but since I make a point to be there 25 minutes before my Apt. time, they can't blame me for being late.
Our delivery invoice, which they refuse to sign, I mark the IN and OUT times. Those are the times I hit the gate and the times I pull out of the gate, I notify dispatch when I arrive and when I leave. If I hit the gate at 6 am, but there is a truck in my dock til 6:45 am, I notate it on the Invoice so that they can't question it. I will also call the desk on my CB and let them know that I can't get into my dock because someone else is still in it, and my clock is running.
Wal-Mart in Loveland once paid us 8 hrs detention on a load I did. Typically it's 3 to 4 hrs max of unload time.

Wamart made me wait 5 hours, but said I only waited 3hrs 14 mins on their wm008 form, so I got paid for 1 hour instead of 3. I asked the lady at the desk to fix it and she refused. I called the manager of the department and he said he would look into it and call me back.
Then I started driving to the guard and noticed the yard dog was in his yard-truck with his headlights on, beaming them right at me, just sitting in the open road-way. Once at the guard-shack, the head-hancho calls me back to tell me that it was my fault I because I did not have a CB. They gave me a vibrating coaster that never went off. A yard-guy knocked on my sleeper, so how could he blame that? Anyways, the Walmart supervisors are scared ########, and they should be. That's why the first thing you see on the door when you go in is a big sign with a picture of a gun on it that says "NO GUNS". Gee, why would a driver need a gun in that place? Maybe because he wants some ###### justice and he does not like being bullied around by yard-dogs, and lying bullys behind a glass wall? Ever notice that there are cameras in every crevice at those centers? Who likes being stolen from? It's appearantly Walmarts official policy to steal from drivers cause they have done it to me several times, and their poor excuse for management covers for the theives at the front desk. This being detained for 5 hours has happened several times.
Now get this, they have a decent cafeteria in each one of these distribution centers. We are detained for 5 hours, but who gets to eat decent food when they get hungry? All we get is a vending machine with overpriced 1 oz bag of chips.
If you don't like Walmart you can always do business w/ the competition... oh.. wait.. Walmart is their competition. They can do whatever they want. They have lobbyists in Washington. They don't pay town taxes. They have their own slave-labor... uhh.. "sweat-shops" in China. Walmart eats up it's competition and spits out the bones. Walmart treats drivers like crap, and if they want justice, or to complain, well, they even have their own little body-guards. Yeah, I hate Walmart. Would love to see them all feet under dust ground in the sky. Hey, don't put me on that list.I'm not that type. I'd just like to see it done to Wallyworld.

I was Cheyenne once and the lady in the guard shack said I was late. I looked at her like she was crazy as I was 2 hours early. she then looks at the papers again and goes OH! you early! and it was a D&H so I go drop and go inside to get an empty the guy inside gives me a trailer number and its still full! I go back and explain and he tells me its empty! No its not I tell him he walks out looks at the trailer and tells me well someone screwed up! Duh! tells me to trailer next to it. next morning DM calls says wal mart PO'd as I took a full trailer. I took pic of trailer and sent to him. I also gave him number of full trailer BOY what a mess they were.

Has anyone ever noticed, if you ask the mallwart dropouts a question, they nearly always flip out, and look like they're going to fall on one shoulder, and spin on the floor?
