It's cool. However, my comment still stands. I don't mind shopping there but as far as delivering stuff there, especially meat and produce, I'd rather beat my head against a wall..... Granted, I haven't had a whole lot of claims issues to deal with but about 90% of them have been at Walmart.

we do 3 different Wal-mart DC's, Loveland, Cheyenne, N. Platte. Longest I've ever unloaded at any of them, 10 hrs, my very first trip to Loveland. I was new to the company, driving a daycab. Trailer was a floor load, floor to ceiling, wall to wall, boxed MB games. They started it at 8am, at 4 pm they called me back to help unload. One poor guy had been on that trailer alone since 8am. Cheyenne, never longer than 2.5 hrs, N. Platte, as short as 90 minutes as long as 5 hrs. We used to do 20' containers of chinese mushrooms. What a jacked up deal those were, the grocery DC's do charge a $50 unload fee, but we ran under the brokers code for the unload so they didn't charge us anything, we just signed the receipt and faxed it to the broker.

i only had one that was easy to get along with it was in texas west of houston checked in guard told me i was early but he let me in said to wait before going to check in after i checked in put the trailer in the door went and parked. after they unloaded me they were nice as heck to deal with always smiling and talking to you not at you. but the others i been to like the ones in florida are the worse i ever been too always rude doesnt matter what time of the dau or who is working they are all rude to the drivers

Not just Wally World, cold storage and a whole slew of other places that treat us like crap. I'm so tired, after twenty years I've made up my mind that i'm not gonna take it any more.

I've not read every post so don't jump me for what I say. For 8 months I ran WM dedicated and learned all the ins and out on top of what I know from working receiving at a store for 3 1/2 yrs. So far the company I'm with now I've only delivered to London Ky and Shelbyville TN DCs. I've never sat over 4 hrs getting unloaded. Wal Mart is strict on apt times you can arrive 1 hour early but don't show up 1 minute late or you will sit til they work you in and if you get an attitude.... Better hope you packed a lunch, dinner, and maybe breakfast. To me WM is about the easiest place to unload if you want a bad place stay with cold storage and there up to 2-3 day wait.

Anyone tell me about the Opelika walmart? Got a steady run going there every week and would like to know something about it before I sign up with the deal. Thanks.

Opelika is good usually quick. I normally drop a few pallets so it's not too bad the check in ladies are pretty quick and I don't hear drivers #####ing about being there too long. Definitely better the one in brundige al I wouldn't go to that one if I didn't have to.
