Hi guys, This is my first time posting here. I recently got an offer from schneider for the dedicated washington ch position for walmart. I previously drove for pepsi for about a year. I am not gonna lie that pay was good. And I was home everyday. But it was HARD work. I would rather take a pay cut and be happier and not be so physically exhausted all the time. So my question is what do walmart dedicated drivers make. They said I would start out at .34cpm with loads over 100 miles I would get additional .04cpm and loads less than 100 miles point a to b would be an extra .12cpm and $15 for each stop. Just trying to figure out if this is good at all since I am new to the truck driving pay scale.

So you will be working for Schneider on a dedicated run for Walmart? Getting paid by the mile?

What did they say was avg weekly miles ?
my guess is you're prob looking at 2K miles a week 3 runs a week 2-3 stops most loads.... that would be $800. but that is just my guess and i don't do those runs or work for that company. :mooh: in fact i prolly have no idea what i'm talking about :mtongue::mtongue::mtongue::mtongue:

The pay sucks to be bluntly honest. put your time in, stay clean, and get away from them

I have already left pepsi. And this was a job that I was able to get fairly quickly and the main reason I picked it was because it is fairly close to home. The average miles is supposed to be between 1800-2000 and I stay within a 350 mile radius so I know it would definitely be more than just 2-3 stops a week. I was just wondering mostly if that was an okay pay for a dedicated route. And the other reason I picked this was because its 100% no touch freight. Which is why I was sick of pepsi. Just too much work even for the decent pay there.

I currently run this account and its a joke.. the pay and miles are down right terrible.. I ran the account out of olney il and made way better money over there.. prime example they put us mandatory 34 this week due to high freight but the best run I had was less than 400 miles.. I always have a full clock to run but most days only run about 8 hours of it.. talked to my dbl about and he said they didn't have as much freight to run this week.. you'll end up make 500 $ a week take home.. I was doubling that out of olney.. needless to say I'm outta here in 2 weeks.. good luck

I'm making .34 but start rate is .31.. its $15 a stop with an average of 3 stops a trip..you will hardly ever see that .12 because they will make sure you run 101 miles..if you aren't concerned about making a wage you can live off of then this is a great account...its too bad really because I have been treated well for the time I have work for sni I just can't keep chasinh my tail for peanuts.. I have a family to support and have found something with a better wage.
