Wow they got picky in the last decade. Walpole was running some up there. Based out of Okeechobee. Or Coke or Pepsi out of Gainesville.

Used to be a ton of home daily gigs in North Florida. They pay Florida wages but home daily.

I'm having trouble following what you stated. So you have 6 months experience? But that was 2 years ago.

Are you saying the dump bucket and other companies want 2-3 years OTR experience?

You may be a decent driver but with the above lapse in time since you drove last, you are basically considered a straight out of school rookie. Also if I'm reading this correctly 6 months experience won't get you anything but top shelf bottom feeder companies, which you probably won't want to work for anyways.

I would look into something local like Pepsi, coke, beer, possibly even some LTL companies

It doesn't hurt to try, the way they have grown, plus the way the industry is now with this supposed driver shortage, all one can do is try.

At worst they can say no. I'm surprised that some of what used to be the most coveted drivers jobs are basically hiring newbies straight from CDL school, or with minimal to no experience.

Told you start as a warehouse associate, and it takes 8-10 years to move up to driver. Lol if i was 17 again that might be worth it

Ya that's kinda silly on their part. Missing out on quality drivers that don't want to take a huge pay cut to work a warehouse job

Yeah. So idk where to turn. I can’t even do dump trucking or anything like that, I would love to do dump. But everyone wants so much experience
