Walmart here I come 2.0

Probably going to have something tomorrow. Hopefully they will exclude Schneider.

 

I backed into the dock at the store in Cadillac, MI on Black Friday at 1745. The associates weren't thrilled. Ended up dropping the trailer, and came back for it Saturday morning. Called it downtime. Hell of a time for a delivery. lol

 

The overnight guys at my DC invited me to sit with them and have turkey dinner while we were all waiting for our loads late Thanksgiving night at the grocery DC I am dedicated too. I had a great time and thanked them for including me. It was nice and I care about and respect all of the Fleet Drivers I work with. Hope all of you and yours are well! Lola and I say Happy and Safe Holidays from our truck to yours!

 

It was my second week, so my trainer did most of the talking. I'm not sure how high up the manager was. He was wearing an interesting Merry Christmas suit and tie. They didn't have an empty. It was the last of 3 stops, so an empty would have made everything easier. I go out tomorrow by myself for the first time. Hopefully I don't screw anything up with the tablet. I'm pretty good about not hitting depart, or silly stuff like that.

Good luck Richardc, hope it's going well. Like mxpx 148 said take your time and don't rush and don't be afraid to shut down in the storm if you think you should, in all my years with them they've never told me or any driver to keep going, when you say i'm shutting down there's no argument from them.

 

We were told that if we arrived during “event time” it was totally up to the store on if and or when they’d be able to take anything in receiving... that we might have wait times and just to “ go with it” .... luckily, I slept thru the whole thing...Lol! I just had M&P to do after midnight: got a 4 stopper! Lol
