So I was thinking about applying. Any information would help about the academy. It’s been awhile since I’ve shifted gears will they just send you packing if you grind a few gears or have to pull up once or twice when backing up? I deliver to Walmart’s now. I drive through Baltimore sometimes up to Wilmington, I do about 350-400 miles a night but we use automatic day cabs and 48ft trailers. I just don’t want to flat out quit my job and then get sent packing for the smallest thing. I am a safe driver but not sure how Walmart does things at the academy. Any info would be appreciated, thank you.

It is what it is. Some guys go and then pass and then just quit their jobs with no notice. Myself, I gave a two week notice then went to onboarding... passed and started at my DC the following Monday.

Thank you all for the replies. Sorry I’ve been busy with work. So did you feel like you learned anything from the academy and was worth the time or no?
