    I'm not expecting too much. They need to come up with a serious raise if they want to attract qualified drivers and retain the ones they have. I'm waiting to see what they come up with before I start looking for something else.

    My bet is they raise activity pay .25-.50, and driver pay .05. Then add in a few cents per mile depending on the part of the country you are based in. Do I wish it would go to at least .65? Sure. But even a small raise like .05 is probably going to cost WM north of 35-40 million a year. .65 would be around 100 million. Just don’t see that happening. But again, I hope I’m wrong.

    Your probably not far off...That amount of a raise might be enough to keep from having a mass exodus of drivers, but not enough to attract experienced drivers away from where they are, to come to Walmart.

    To have experienced drivers beating down the door to come here, they are going to have to give 20% across the board, or more.

    Sherwin Williams raised their driver pay 19%. KLLM just raised their pay 33%.

    It will be intresting to see what they do...
