On a serious note I would never use self checkout while in uniform. Used to be husband/wife, family, or significant other was not allowed or trusted to ring you out. So why risk checking yourself out.

I hope Shelby isn’t to bad. I start orientation on the 21 at Lauren’s. Gonna give Walmart a shot . Gotta be better than unloading and reloading your own trailer. Been delivering merchandise for 14 years never once thought about taking anything. But I have picked stuff up and put it back on a pallet. Oh well wish me luck!

They express many times that drivers “DO NOT TOUCH FREIGHT” during the week in Laurens, unless you are grocery in some situations and then it sounds like you only move things to adjust temp zones. It’s a grueling week, but a great feeling on Thursday when you find out you’ve made it past step one. Good luck!!

Been at my current employer for 14 years just nervous about changing jobs . Haven’t had to go through the hiring process in a long time. But thanks for the info. Maybe I can pass the pti & driving. Lol

You can do it! I’m an old lady and I’ve really enjoyed working as a dedicated Walmart driver this year: I’ve not even had to move any freight when I’ve hauled multi temp reefers. The store personnel have done all that. I’ve only had to move the bulkheads out of the way... I usually haul GM freight, but, every so often they’ve asked me at other DC’s if I could run a reefer grocery load.....it’s kinda fun for a change... you get to talk to store people while it’s being unloaded...lol..
