Hello guys and gals. Well, I did my Pre trip test and failed in plainview so he said (SIDE EYE). From the time i arrived there i felt uncomfortable. Marka F. and the staff in the office wasn't friendly at all. I wanted to go over my printed out application just to make sure my employment dates was correct and she didn't bother to do so. Bobbi or Bobby the safety manager told me they was running behind. 20 min later i go out to do my trip and do a hell of a job. He even said so. I noticed after doing my pre trip the left steer tire was low. I brought my own tire pressure gauge and it showed 90PSI. I drove over to the mechanic shop to get air and come back towards the hook up to the trl. Now on the way back to the trl i squared my tractor up with the trl and before i could set my brakes and get out with the 3 points of contact he says "hold up" lets stop. You did not even get out and look. I was shocked.

 

Yeah so far I've heard 25+ my go home day is sat so I sure hope I'm out here before it hits this area. I-37 is bumper to bumper coming from Corpus

 

I feel like the way Plainview is setup is for drivers to fail. Most trucking companies you do a pre trip and road test for allow you to look inside the truck and know what you are dealing with before taking your pre trip and road test. That like asking any of us to get in a 2018 lexus and say you have 30 min to figure everything out or else. It's impossible.

 

So.. did you ever hook to the trailer? When I did my Road test in Palestine I got out to verify that my king pin was not too high before It touched my fifth wheel. I know what you mean about not knowing anything. I took my Road test in an old school pete. I had never driven a pete before in my life especially with flat brake pedals. I didn't know where anything was
