Anyway, I called Bentonville and spoke with customer relations and spoke with chris and told him about my experience at Plainview. He apologize and told me He will play my voicemail to his boss and that she would call me back. The only person that was nice was Ted. He runs that DC.

 

He never gave me a chance to do that GOAL.

 

Hmm sounds weird to me too! Maybe I'm missing something? Well I hate that you failed as I know you were wanting the job but I wouldn't get that upset if I was you. There's a lot of jobs out in dfw that pay more than what you're currently making. Try that or just wait another year and try again this time either in Sanger or Palestine unless you had planned on moving to plainview? Lots of people fail over here on that stuff. Every safety person is different at each DC.

 

I was not hooked up to the trl. He never gave me a chance to goal. SMH

 

I will not give up and will apply again in a year. I just hate i drove over 700 plus miles round trip for him to say hey you did not get goal. I have a friend that works there an

 

Sucks that it worked out like that for you. I don't work for wal mart but have applied for positions that got filled before I got a call. Good info though. It might be common sense to goal when backing into a spot with a trailer but just hooking up to a trailer it's not common at all imo. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I dont think a safety manager would fail anyone unless they did something that was unsafe or going to damage equipment
If i backed up to a trailer to hook up & i bumped the trailer without getting out to see if 5th wheel plate was in the right position ; that could damage the trailer or 5th wheel
I cant understand how a safety manager would fail anyone if they just backed up to a trailer & didnt hit or touch the trailer
