Walmart here I come!

Yes Talked to a few driver too that said the same thing as in we just go with the flow!! A few even said they don't give a ####!! I say Protest don't let any trucks out or let any in!!

 

I have notice the new guys all drive some old car or pickup when they start most of them to me look like there on there last $, but after a few good paychecks they are all buying 50K pickups. New drivers stay with in your means act like your still making 50k a year...

 

Very good point we are all equal I tend to get a good store too even for my FLW, but i do miss my old FLW it use to keep me out of the LA Basin since I work out of one of our DC in Cali!!!

 

At my DC , we've got it all. Lots of Escalades, Denali HD Diesels Lifted . My guess $65-70 k truck. SUPER DUTY LIFTED Diesel 4x4s. Multiple Vettes. 1 Challenger Hellcat, BMW 745, 1 BMW M5 . Go big or go home!. I drive an old paid for pickup. Nothing to brag about. But not tied to the hip. Many guys I talk to, are up to their necks in Mortgages, Multiple car notes, & some Equity Loans. They need 90-100k to maintain their current lifestyles. Now with this new Walmart "strategy "
I'd hate to be in their shoes.

 

Thats what i going to start looking for 60k-75k and home every night. If i lose my assign truck next year if there are only a few 5/2 and i get out bid I will be gone. I have put a lot of effort in to my tractor keeping it the way i like a truck to look like and have them come and take it away!!

 

If you can get home every night, that is worth $20.00 a day you could save so that could be worth 5200 right there. Not to mention getting sick on the road from the crappy food we eat

Yep, and experience all 4 seasons here, there's definitely some thin times sitting in the driver's room-FOR FREE.

 

No reason to spend 20 dollars a day or eat unhealthy, geez you guys are reaching.

 

What a lot of drivers don't realize is that no job is more secure than the next one. Having a secure job anywhere went out the door years ago, Walmart is not the only company making changes,LTL companies, other OTR companies. Grocery stores,restaurants you name it a lot of companies are making changes due to Amazon.

 

Amen to that, I eat home cooked meals everyday on the road
