Standard have been lowered for the past 5 years if you ask me. Nothing more special about a Walmart driver these days than a Swift dedicated. Dirty, Don't pretrip, Dumps their piss bottles out in Walmart parking lots, leaves their bottles of piss in Walmart trucks and showers just as often as a OTR driver.

Go take the tough guy stuff else where. Even though you're a koolaid defender you show none of the professionalism of a true old school Walmart driver let alone a guy that's been driving for a while. I know guys who ran tankers for QC working here that can take it better than you.

What kind of drivers can you get to come work for you at 38cpm, good drivers arent going to leave a job for that,
I guess if your looking to hire swift drivers & pay as little as possible for a driver
Any experienced good driver wouldnt touch that

Puppuller 57 and BackIsSore Thank this.

I go up and down them hills all the time Grapevine Tehachapi Cajon, if I am empty i will stay out of the truck lane. In a Walmart truck the way they are geared and the way they want us to drive them, the speed up them hills with any kind of weight @ 1450 rpms they want you to run.... thats 27 mph up hill.

Guess what i went and drove for Western. Yes the pay was low but the work was great!! The people were good the once they got to know you as a person and a driver. I quit them to go to work for Walmart!! Thats was 3 years ago!! 60k year job had good runs home often. Would I go back yes I would!! But that would be a 20k pay cut. There medical insurance suck for a family. I had to go on Cal Covered for my family.

Your supposed to be in the truck lane all the time except to pass. So from your saying just because your empty, your using the passing lane and staying there, so if I’m loaded and I’m passing everyone going up the pass, that means I have to pass you on the the right ? Are you kidding me ? Some safety program Walmart runs over there. I bet the trainers never drove a truck. Unbelievable.....
