Walmart here I come!

Hey Jim good to see you on here how's it going have been to North Bergen lately.

 

Yeah just can't afford to take a pay cut on a 5/5 schedule they asked which one I prefer and I said I prefer the 6/3

 

At some point in my life, I hope to be able to do a 5/5 shift. That would be awesome.

Of course, I would like a 6/3 also. Or, a 6/2........................ or, the 5/2 that I have. LOL

 

ya its suppose to get a little nasty up this way tonight matt. last week was a mess up here there were 10 fatalities in 24hrs. getting a lot of rain right now sogonna be a skating rink in the morning. hope you have a safe trip.

 

You know, it's even more mind boggling when you put it in further perspective...there are approximately 3 MILLION truck drivers in the U.S. alone...of that 3 MILLION...there are 7,500 Walmart
drivers. That's one driver out of every 400. It's not just another job. It's so much more. It's a career. A milestone. An accomplishment.

 

Plenty of trips to NJ but not there lately. Spent two days this week in Rhode Island running out of Raymond NH, and have discovered that they have the WORST drivers I've ever seen!

Doing good. Home now for my 3 days. We're doing Christmas this weekend in case I don't make it home on the 25th...it's a 4 1/2 hour drive for me, a lot of gas, and who knows what the weather will do, all to come home for just one day. We'll see. I do have a place to stay if I don't/can't make it home, thanks to a very kind offer from another driver here, so it wouldn't be so bad like looking at the walls of a hotel room...LOL.

 

Sounds like good coworkers to enjoy Merry Christmas to you and family if you don't get on in time stay safe.

 

Just got home dont go back until the 26th at 1000. nice little break. Turned down a 5/2 wed out going to stay on the 6/3 for now. I know I would lose the wed out come realignment to senior guys.

One year was up on 12/3 man time is flying by..... I have 22 guys below me in one year is that crazy or what. prob 15 of those will transfer out once their year is up but still crazy.

Jim hope you get home for Christmas, a friend of mind named Dave started at toby 2 weeks ago keep a eye on him for me ... lol

Orientation was over on Fri, started with the trainer today! Boy did they spoil him during orientation, pasties for breakfast, 2 free lunch day, etc! He must have shake everyone's hand and really is enjoying it so far!

Love that my husband will be home for Christmas too. He hasn't been home for the last 3 Christmases! It will be nice to have him with us! Merry Christmas guys!
