Walmart here I come!

Oh no. Its only me who cares about the numbers because I am the one paying the bills lol! He is just happy to have a job with honest people finally and ones who are friendly and care about their jobs too. The last company wasn't that way and he hated! He is now so much happier! Plus we get to see him a ton more. We use to see him once ever 2/3 months...it was awful! Now we see him every week! I am so happy to finally have my husband back!

 

Yep you hit the hammer right on the nail drozzer69 Im thankful this thread was started lots of useful information in here. I'm sure if I will here the truth about that guy being that im going to Apple. Sounds to me like a disgruntled former employee trying to bring havoc to the thread. My buddy that currently works there asked me how I know alot of the acronyms all ready without attending orientation yet and how I knew about extra board and program schedules. Lol. I'm still nervous about leaving my current employer which i gave my 2 weeks notice to last Friday. Butterflies are going crazy in my stomach especially after 8 years and 3 weeks vacation sat sun off and no labor since im a trainer. I'm a man of faith and I think God is closing one door for me and opening a better one. The 7th is my birthday so im considering this job with wal mart a present 10 more days until orientation cant wait!

I still pinch myself, even after a year............ to make sure this is real. You are not making a mistake. Once you go through orientation, you will understand. As good as you think it is............... it is better. As an organization, a business, and especially a trucking company, the way this place is run should be closely studied by all other trucking companies. The efficiency in which this huge organization is run, is a model for everyone. Add to that the way that everyone is treated, from the top down, and it is amazing. Now, I do realize different DC's will be different. Also, how good it will be is a great reflection on how good the GTM is. I guess I am spoiled, as we have a great GTM. I took the son for a week after Xmas, and he had to bring Bill a gift. He really made a huge impression on Corey.

Anyway, about to hit the hay. This is my first time hauling rose bushes. They are going to Hawaii. Pretty cool.

Well and myself also.. I work for a great company and have 3 weeks vacation. And I am treated excellent. But from a friend of mine who works for Walmart already I've seen his pay which is the same as mine. But he just raves over and over how he is treated and I too have the butterflies myself. I haven't given my notice my Orientation is the 27th. But My employer knows of my situation and are pretty much bending over backwards to stay. But I am looking at the end result and the long haul...a place to retire at excited but yet also nervous...

 

Rick, I do not think they finished the bridge to Hawaii yet.

Actually, this is going to Porterville, then to Hawaii.

Thanks, the family is doing real well. We have just had some struggles with our dog (our youngest son), which can sap a lot out of you.

Anyway, I am glad you guys are all doing well. To better things, in 2014 !!! (I raise a glass of water. LOL)
