Gotcha, So there would be drivers from other DC's at grove city since it's a regional I assume. Wish I could see that. Maybe next year if things go as planned.

WM is big into Truck Rodeos. We have our own company rodeos as well as competing in the various state rodeos against other companies, and then to the Nationals where the state champions compete.

Hi everyone!! Just have a question? I am a young driver who has 9 years in with a teamster job. I am 34 years old and have been driving since I was 21. I am really considering trying to become a walmart driver out of woodland pa. I have really enjoyed reading this post and it has made me want to fill out the application. My biggest concern is the benefits. My soon to be wife is a diabetic, she has been since she was 2 years old. I really need to have top notch benefits like I have now with the teamsters. How are the benefits? What are the costs? Also do you think the move from a teamster job to walmart would be a smart choice? I am not one of those big union guys my theory is u do your job you have nothing to worry about anyways. Any info on woodland pa dc and benefits would be appreciated. Thanks for your time

I'm a former Holland teamster was real nervous about the benifts as I'm a diabetic also. Benefits for you and your family start day one, I'm at maintenance level ( 4$ per prescription at SAMs or Walmart start day one also, you get as many wellness visits included as your doc wants not just 2)so it may be a bit less expensive than teamsters, but if you have complications at least in Illinois it's going to be for me 2500$ per year plus 80/20 after that. But I'm making 200$ more per weeks consistently.
My HR Guy gave me a book and went over all the insurance plans before he made the job offer, they are very upfront about everything insurance, working weekends, slipseating etc...
BTW, drivers have totally different insurance than any other associates including managers, it's way better and that gets pointed out a lot... Good luck give it a try. PM me if you have a specific ? -
Thank you cal. Trucker1979 also pm NYVET. He runs out of Toby and could prob give you the best info for PA. Also thank you Mr. peanut for your input as well!
