As stated, 3 consecutive years for the minimum. A buddy of was dispatching for his current employer and is now back in the driver seat and also considering to come work at Wal~mart. He has a year down and needs two more. I tell him to keep driving because we have drivers transfer out and retiring so the door at my Dc is always open. Congrats Bill. When your background comes back they will contact you with your orientation start date.

Gary, care to share more details about the cameras in the trucks, either here or via PM? I am out of Sealy too, but have been on a LOA, so I am not aware of some recent changes.

Nothing said of cameras here at Toby or any other DC I go to or know people who work there. It's been a rumor for some time but nothing has been confirmed, in fact it's been denied thus far.

It would not surprise me since more and more carriers are moving in the direction of video-based DRM systems. Considering I have used my own personal black box recorder for more than 7 years, I am not concerned about a camera capturing what is going on while I drive. I do have some issues with audio being recorded as well, since we are allowed to use a cell phone in the truck, although with restrictions.

Jim, what do you think about cameras possibly in the trucks? Everywhere we go on Walmart's property is under video surveillance already.

The wife here. They are only talking about a forward facing camera, and one that shows down the side of the truck. Nothing on audio and nothing inside the truck.

We knew rumors would start, and we expect them to get carried to the ridiculous.

Frankly, I see this as a good thing, and will really help Walmart in litigation.

    Boy Howdey Thanks this.
