Drivers are paid per hub mile and are paid activity pay for other work related things like dropping and hooking, live load and unload, etc. It varies based on the type of load you pull, whether its general merchandise or groceries.Last edited: Nov 6, 2014

Just finished my 1st week on my own. Starting to get my routine down but still have that "did I forget to do something" feeling. I did enjoy my 1st DC cookout, steak and shrimp for a safe miles milestone!!! Something I have realized in the short time I've been with the private fleet, as good as I thought it was on the outside looking in, its sooooo much better once you actually get hired!!! I still can't believe that's me driving the blue and white truck!!!
TomOfTx, WallyWife, drozzer69 and 1 other person Thank this. -
And paid to take their 10 hour break in the truck too, among other things! Really not hard to make over $2000 a week with a little bit of effort and good time management.
middleoftheroad Thanks this. -
Good to hear! I can relate to how you feel in terms of driving the truck. Be sure to wave to the kids at the store!
