You should have asked me this question prior to midnight on December 31st. The lease on my crystal ball expired and it wasn't renewed. :)

Seriously, you need a bit more input on your current situation in order to get a legitimate answer to your question.

Excellent, but my opinion is subjective. The real question may be how is your health?

There is nearly 2300 posts in this thread alone about working for the Walmart Private Fleet as a driver. Start reading from the beginning and/or do a search within this thread for any questions you may have. Chances are most questions have been already answered, so you will not need to wait for a response.

That is a lot to give up for a job here that may pay more, but offer less days off per week, especially weekend days off on a regular basis.

The type of medical insurance plans offered varies from one state to the next. Here in Texas, I feel the coverage is very good at a reasonable price. I have a few health issues that require about 6 prescription medications daily. The cost through the insurance is about $38 a month for medications that would be about $1800 a month without insurance. In my opinion, the medical insurance coverage offered has been much better than it appeared on paper once I was using it. For the money, I am quite satisfied with the coverage. The costs for 2015 only jumped about $11 a week for family coverage, which is really good compared to the increases in insurance premiums at most companies. Walmart is self insured and only uses insurance companies like Aetna and others to administer the payments for medical services.

You would need to work here for a year before a request to transfer would be granted. There would need to be openings at a DC in Florida to transfer to.

Andrew, I know it's tedious, but going back to the very beginning of this thread and reading it all from there will enlighten you and probably answer many if not all of your questions. I'm doing just that for my husband, Brian -- I'm only at Page 115.

But I passed what I learned in those pages on to Brian, who has a really good job but like many others here feels that Walmart has much more to offer than his current employer gives him. I just got his application submitted 12/31 so I expect it will be some time before we hear from them.

I'm sure that the guys who have already been hired will be dropping by soon to give you more detailed answers, just like they have been doing for me. Hang tight -- they'll be here for you soon! Meanwhile, keep reading!

Hey guys I had an off the wall questions. What type of shoes are allowed for the drivers and what color? When I was at fed ex freight we had to wear all black shoes, tennis shoes or steel toe or composite toe if u worked the dock on your run no Tennis. I really love the comfort of tennis shoes while driving thanks

Go for it. Any shoe is acceptable. No sandals or flips-flops. Make sure they are slip resistant.

    Buzzard2157 Thanks this.
