That was the only P&G plant in LA that I remember having a Walmart nearby. Real convenient for you too as there is not much good truck parking in that area. :)

    mje Thanks this.

Gee, you think? Maybe all those bobtails parked on the shoulder for the road to the drop yard was good hint for me. I kind of feel sorry for those guys. Oh well. I'm done eating and gonna head off to bed. Friday here I come!

    mje Thanks this.

The funny thing is that I have not been to that P&G since the 90's! Nothing has changed, except now the Walmart you are at is now a Supercenter and the parking is even more scarce! Be safe coming back. See ya soon! :)

    mje Thanks this.

I love NY and NJ, just did a Jersey for my last load before heading home. Go back Thursday and only work four days to adjust to new schedule. Was thinking to myself today, how much I actually LOVE this job! Well, I'm home, my dog is the only one up and was happy to see me (90 lb black lab or bulldozer depending on the day). Nite all.

Passed my interview and driving test today. Now just waiting for the background checks. Shouldn't have any problems. Was told wages and benefits would be discussed at job offer if I get one. I'll need to have some more questions answered before I accept, but really liked what I saw and heard there. Will know more in a few weeks. Thanks for all the advice and details on the interview process!

    mje and drozzer69 Thank this.

With those credentials, you will have an excellent chance to be hired. Check www.drive4walmart.com for listing of current openings. They change every few days. You can also sign up to be notified when listings for the area you choose appear. You can apply and be hired at any DC, but you must wait at least one year before requesting to transfer to a different DC.

It is a lengthy process time wise from the moment you apply. If you read past posts by me and others you will see that. Walmart with contact you regardless of whether they wish to interview you or not. Good luck in your pursuit. I officially start with Walmart on August 27th. :)

Congratulations. Once you hear back from Walmart and they set up a second interview (to offer you the job), you will be welcome to ask any questions you want. I asked a few, but most of the questions I was interested in pertained to the operation, which I know will be covered in orientation.

Keep us all informed on your progress. :)

    mje Thanks this.
