Hello drivers, question about road test, tight right turns.what I have read, don't curb tires. How does Wal-Mart want you to handle those turns, there are some turns that you either have to swing wide In the lane next to you or if it's clear swing into the oncoming left turn lane to make the turn without curbing the tires. I really do appreciate all of your post, been reading them for some time now. Just put my app in at Apple Valley on Aug. 5 Thank you all very much

I have another ? Minimum requirements says you need 3yrs experience, but it doesn't say it has to be OTR. I only have city driving experience.28yrs worth.reading some of the post sounds like you need OTR experience.already filled out the app, so the worst is they turn me down

You have the experience. It's all the same except your not going home every day. Just be sure to have good trip planning for your 30 and layovers.

Well I made it to orientation in Seymour In this past Monday only to be sent home(back to Sc) on Tuesday. Monday morning they tried putting in my ss number but it kept saying applicant not eligible for rehire. Hr guy and me were very confused as to why this happened. He asked me had I ever worked for sams or Walmart ever before and I said no. Then a few minutes later I remembered that I did work for sams club 20 years ago for about 20 days and I got fired. So Steven had to email Bentonville to get an decision on whether or not I could stay. I stayed in orientation all day Monday and half a day Tuesday before they let me go.
I'm writing this to tell all you future applicants dont leave out any details on your app. I totally forgot that I worked at sams 20 years ago and that I had gotten fired. Walmart looked at that as me trying to hide something and that's why they let me go yesterday. So yall be really thorough on you apps.
I'm not mad at Walmart. This was my mistake and it cost me a job that had been wanting for a long time. I'm majorly bummed out right now. My question is how did I make it all the way to orientation without Bentonville catching my mistake? Nobody put in my ss number till I got to orientation? its just stressful cause I quit my other job cause I thought I was hired at Walmart. Long drive from Sc to Indiana then back again in your personnel vehicle. Like I said im not mad a Walmart but I think somebody made a mistake and I slipped thru the cracks. Oh well time to call my former employee. At least I didn't burn any bridges there.
Take care all you Wolly Worlders and be careful out there. CRAZYTAZMAN

Crazytazman, the same thing happened to a driver in my orientation class. Background checks didn't show he worked for Walmart over 10 years prior, but as soon as they entered his name into the payroll system, his name was already there. It then showed the dates he worked for Walmart. Because his application stated he never worked for Walmart, he was let go on the second day.

I can understand this being disappointing. Others should take note that any details left off the application, whether intentional or not, will result in disqualification, even if discovered after being hired. I think I remember a driver from Matt's class was let go several months after being hired upon discovering some false information about his previous driving experience. Matt can better clarify the details as I originally heard it from him.

Wayner, the electronic application you submitted is not official until you sign the printed copy in person at a Walmart DC. It will be the only opportunity to amend anything on your application.

Thanks Tom, I have a question, I had took a dot physical before my medical card expired, I got a new medical card I turn the long form into motor vehicle, but they didn't receive before my medical card expired got a letter in the mail saying my license was suspended, when they finally did receive it my license was no longer suspended I did not pay a reinstatement fee they just corrected it this since I took the physical before my medical card expired, should I have answered the question on the application yes , if I ever had my license suspended, I answered no
