If you have to hook up to the trailer you need to get out and check to be sure the trailer is not to high for the 5th wheel before you back under the trailer

My DH's luck is just not with him....Walmart is having a driver hiring event in Wilkes Barre, PA on October 1-2. He cannot reapply until October 11th. Walmart HR says no way around it, he has to wait until the 11th. Luck is just not with us on this one year wait. Its been really hard to wait and now that we are 3 1/2 weeks out it is excrutiating. He was hoping he could go to the Hiring Event and get the process over in one day instead of applying by computer, waiting for phone call to setup phone interview, then wait for the phone interview and then hope they move him on to the DC for a pretrip/road test. UGH!! Sorry, I just needed to vent.

Pottesville and Tobyhanna will never stop hiring. They will not meet their goals during this hiring event. Tell him hang in there. We have also lost 5 in smyrna but have a few transferring in.

I asked questions before the clock started. The guy giving my pre-trip exam was a driver. He told me he wasn't there to fail me. He just wanted to make sure I knew how to do a proper inspection. He did keep score and he didn't give me any help. I did have to couple to the trailer. I asked him if he wanted me to connect my lines before I backed under the trailer. He told me no, just get out to check fifth wheel alignment / height. No chocks.
Pace yourself. 30 minutes goes faster than you think. Especially when you are nervous and trying to cover everything.
I missed one on my inspection. I probably read about checking the trailer inspection sticker 30 times or more on this thread. Yep . I forgot it.
    Good luck!
