Yes layover is your ten hour break in the bunk. All the trucks have inverters in them but they only last two hours. You can use a 12v adapter in the truck be ause the APU will keep the batteries charged. Tom uses a CPAP and could give more insit on using what he uses in the trucks.

Thanks for your speedy reply! I'm looking forward to getting started on this new path.

I use
I use a DC plug for my CPAP manufactured by the OEM. Since the CPAP uses very little power (45 watts), you could also just buy a small inverter and plug into a DC outlet in the truck, then plug in your CPAP.
CPAP DOT COM is a very good place to look for any accessories online.Cobrakev Thanks this. -
Get your shine on lol

Sorry but WAY too much work. We have a few drivers that keep theirs in a mirror finish.

Lol once you get them there it's easy. Takes me 20 minutes every 2 weeks to keep them up.

What polish do you use?

Hey Tom, I was told by a few of the drivers here that if you have the CPAP machine, there is an override device that you would be given in order to keep the inverter from shutting off after 2 hours. Do you not have that option or were you not aware of it? The inverter is set to shut off after 2 hours to ensure we don't stay up all night watching videos or TV but look into the override device. It's supposedly portable so you can use it in any truck should you switch like in a program, it's basically a 'key'.TomOfTx Thanks this.

Easy on easy off best stuff aroundjfred74 Thanks this. -
Hey Jim, how the heck have you been doing!

I am aware of the override device for the inverter. I have not needed one because the CPAP I use has a OEM 12v plug. I prefer using this because the power draw is very little (less than the power needed to charge my phone), and I like that I can place the CPAP real close to where I sleep. If familiar with the Freightliner Cascadia, which I drive on the 5/2 5/3 program I run, I place my CPAP on the open space between the top and bottom cabinets behind the driver seat. I plug it in right there. Works great and sits less than 2 feet away. Very little setup each night where it sits.
