Walmart here I come!

Pay period ends on Friday and we get paid on the next Thursday. The period actually ends this Friday at midnight.

 

I got my first pay the Thursday of my third week, my first week on my own.

 

Haha, yeah! Bonus is nice and easy to get. Now the new guys are going to have some lofty numbers for a goal.

 

Pay for the 1st week off orientation is based on 14 per hour@40 hours
What's your training based on?

 

In training, you do all the driving and work while your mentor teaches you and answers questions. You get paid mileage and activity pay just as if you were on your own. As far as orientation, they paid me for 40 hours even though we weren't there that long. They also paid me mileage and time to get there from home. I was pleasantly surprised at my first check.

 

Wow! No WAY! That's awesome! Thanks for the encouraging words! If i may ask, how far fist you have to travel to get there and how long have you been there?

I started orientation on Labor Day and have just finished my 5th week on my own. I live in northeast Ohio and had orientation in Seymour, IN, so it was about 320 miles each way. I live 180 miles from the DC i work out of, but I'm going to move closer soon.

 

You start at the beginning of a new pay period. So I guess you would receive your first check on your third Friday of employment . After thinking about it a little more . That check will be for orientation and your week with your mentor.

 

I just received my second phone call! I have a road test appt on November 10th 8 am and I was told to bring a copy of my mvr. I'm guessing my copy of the mvr is enough for them? I figured they would have requested one already from my home state.
