I hope it does for you too Ron. May I ask what was the hardest part today?

It will get easier there's a lot of computer work to get used to after a week or two on your own you'll be like jeez that was easy, develop a routine on how you do your computer stuff and always the same way

I keep hearing commercials of how they are paying drivers 82k a year. How close is that really?

It's spot on and then some as far as the annual.

    Welcome aboard Greg!

Ron, give it time, don't rush. Developed a routine. Your mentor should be able to help with all that. Try not to focus strongly on the driving techniques right now. Come your fourth week is about when you should be able to focus on them more. It's a lot to learn and remember. Ask questions if your not sure about things when your on your own. Ask here too, anyone should be able to help.

    Ron_G_Sr and gregsmith7467 Thank this.

You have drivers retiring and some transferring to other dc's. I applied at the Pottstown pa DC but that's just to get my foot in the door. I live in Delaware and after a year hopefully I can transfer down to Smyrna if not I'll keep on trucking outta Postville. If you read the posts on this blog you'll see the money is there but there's more to it than the money.
Do your research on here and make your own decision. Have an open mind it might just be what your looking for. Welcome aboard!

I was just curious since I was hearing so many commercials. Glad it is going great with you and that you get where you want there, thanks

Thanks Joey, I appreciate the info. The 30 day mark is rapidly approaching, so we'll see what they do. Even tho I currently live in PA, I've been contemplating a move to the eastern shore area and considering a transfer as well. But I need to get started first...

Have a great, safe Wednesday out there everyone. It is going to be one of the busiest travel days.

I finally received my clearance to come on over and hope you guys (Smoker & Joey) get the word soon also. That part of the waiting was the toughest for me throughout the whole process.

    Smoker122 Thanks this.
