Ok any advice would be great. I applied for Walmart back in April of this year and completely put it in the back of my mind. Since April I joined the Schneider lease/choice program and have been very successful. I received a call and after the phone interview I have a road test and pre trip interview scheduled next Thursday. I am torn because the pay and benefits of Walmart are amazing. But it's the unknown that bothers me is it worth leaving something I am comfortable with as well as making decent money( not Walmart money and benefits). Is it really worth walking away from where I'm at to go to Walmart.

Sadly only you can answer that Brokenspoke. My advice to you would be to read this whole thread from the beginning because there have been others like you who have made the decision to leave all of that behind and drive for the Private Fleet with no regrets, but for some others they decided that it was a bridge too far. I'd suggest weighing all of the pros and cons of staying put and doing the same for joining WalMart. This thread is a few years old and I have never read where a single driver has regretted coming to work for WalMart. It's like any other job in that there will be good days and some bad, but like my mentor who has 15 years experience here at WalMart said to me, he's still here because the good far outweighs the bad. I'm new and so far I'm loving it, coming here was one of the best decisions I've made in my driving career, hopefully you will soon feel the same way. Best wishes to you there Brokenspoke regardless of what you may decide to do.

Thank you for the reply. I know that Walmart holds a better future and was a goal for my driving career. I've just never had a decision/fear of leaving comfort for possible better future. Thanks again
