You are very fortunate to have be in a 6/3 right out the gate in Lagrange there will be no more 6/3' a guess too many drivers were taking advantage of the opportunity to burn up their clock and be off for 4 days and under utilizing the equipment, which makes no sense to me I would rather work the full 6 and maximize my productivity and earnings. The best I can hope for is a 5/2/3 but for now it's the extra board for me though 8 new drivers were just recently done with orientation and in need of mentors. Still, no complaints from me I'm ecstatic to be here but big congrats to you for getting on a program as quickly as you have.gregsmith7467, RailFanRick, BackIsSore and 1 other person Thank this.

I'm pretty happy just on 5/2. If things are caught up, they'll kick me out early on my 5th day!

Good evening everyone!
Days 2 & 3 are in the books. What a boatload of info... The drivers have been real decent to work with, as well as the management. I got to meet my mentor this morning but we really didn't get much chance to talk. Hopefully I'll run into him again before the end of day Friday.
Time to rest up and get ready for day 4.
Happy trails and keep it safe out there.gregsmith7467, Ron_G_Sr, RailFanRick and 1 other person Thank this. -
Rick ran a 5/2 for over 2 years. In AZ, the rates are not as high as some other places. His first year he made right at $80K. Second year $84K.
You will do just fine on a 5/2. Rick is safe to the extreme, never speeds, does his full pre and post trip, and never cuts corners in any way. He will never make the most money, but that is ok for us.Ron_G_Sr, noninetofive and RailFanRick Thank this. -
