When I went to Porterville, they told me to expect to be in an assigned truck in 7-9 months.

Good attitude Woodenleg I felt the same way I was happy with my days off and I didn't have to swap out tractors too often, just often enough to know I wasn't crazy about it, otherwise the extra board wasn't a bad experience for me, but I'm really happy to be on a program with two assigned trucks...momma's really happy I'll occasionally have some weekends with the family now.

Well guy's, finally starting orientation tomorrow after having the last start date postponed due to medical issues with my dad. When i originally was supposed to start i had to call HR about 2 days before my start date and let them know i wasn't going to be able to make it and explained the situation figuring i would be losing the opportunity. Instead of WalMart being upset, telling me to just re-apply in the future, they instead express genuine concern and understanding over my fathers condition and rescheduled my start date to Feb. 8th! WoW, I haven't even hauled the first load yet and can already tell these folks are Cool and seem to actually care. Looking forward to Monday!.... Take care guy's, wish me luck! ;-)
