Well truck is packed, Harley loaded heading Porteville, Ca to start orienration on 2/22!

Passed pre trip and road test yesterday. Physical done also. Just submitted my background check. Can't believe this is about to finally happen.

 

What did they have you do?

 

Out of this walking boot getting an all clear Friday taking another dot physical and hopefully back in the truck Friday afternoon

 

Just a dot pre trip. I studied by watching you tube videos. Wasn't as bad as I thought. Road trip was easy also. I had to back between two trailers. I was fairly nervous but they put me to ease. Very excited for the future.

 

Gardening season is here, hurry up and get back because we have lots of freight to move! Hope you're doing better driver.

 

Job submission status: post offer checks completed. Background check status: competitive.

 

Hey guy's, just wanted to drop in and say hi and hope everyone is doing groovy! ..... Made it through the week with my mentor, wound up working a 5.5 day week instead of 5 to try and get a better 1st paycheck due to the orientation week. Loved It!, had a blast with my mentor and we got along as if we had been working together for years! Left Opelousas, LA. Tuesday and practically stayed in Texas all week running from Port Arthur to the Dallas area and doing multi stop grocery loads out of New Caney. Took me most of the week to get the hang of the OBC and Paperwork but things started clicking pretty good towards the last few days, hope i don't forget what i've learned while i'm on my off days! Lol... Definitely a change after 13.6 years of Mon. thru Fri., home on weekends gig and will take some time getting used to but i really think i'm going to love it here.. First trucking job i've had in 28 years where i honestly feel like i am valued and respected and it sure feels good, wish i would have done this years ago!..... Until next time, Peace!!
