    Based on the hours you work, from your logs; work a certain number, based on length of service, get a credit for a day of PTO.

    I'm 85% convinced it's ok. I don't like what they've done with sick days. You can only use them with the family medical leave. Also no option to have $100 days to make up for a slow day.

    PTO has been put off until further notice. Bentonville is still working on some issues for our end. This is what was told to us about two months ago in grass roots. Good night!

    Based on the brochure sent to use early this year, a new driver like yourself can earn 1 paid day off for every 125 hours worked (as calculated from hours logged on the Qualcomm's e-logs and any time for things such as training manually entered as time worked). This means you can earn a day off about every 2 weeks. For your first 2 years you would be limited to a maximum of 21 PTO days earned per year, as well as the possibility of earnings 1 paid day off for each quarter of safe driving (up to 4 per year). So, a first year driver could earn up to 25 paid days off. The number of hours worked and maximum days of PTO changes as your years with the company increase.

    Will they be use or lose in a certain time period, say a year? Or can you bank them and let them accrue?

    In other words, some OTR companies say that you get x number of days off for y number of days out, but you have to use your time off days each period.

    That was a good thing about my old company. They let you bank your days off indefinitely. I think I had over 100 days on the books when I left. Of course those were not PAID days off, they were just days off.

    If they'll let you accrue them over longer periods of time you would be able to potentially maximize your pay for those days off by taking them when your ADP was higher, right?

    On the topic of ADP, any of you veterans have any suggestions to maximize it as quickly as possible and to keep it as high as possible?

    Per the brochure, you will be able to carry over up to 10 days of PTO into the next year. Anything above 10 days will be paid to you on the first pay period in February. This is how stands in the brochure given out to us early this year. Since it is not in place yet, it could change.

    5 1/2 day work week. Most work, least time off.

    They told me that's what I'd be working. I think they said I'd be 1 of 3 guys sharing 2 trucks.
