Here's one I've been wondering. Does WM offer a scholarship program?? Seems a lot of companies aren't offering such anymore.

Are you talking for a child of yours? There used to be some limited money available, but haven't heard much about it recently.

There is still scholarship stuff listed on Walmartone, through the Walmart Foundation. I couldn't look into it any further as it is "closed" for this year. It says to check back after the 1st of the year. There are separate sections for associates, and dependents.

I hadn't really looked into it, as our son is a Freshman.

A few posts back, someone said to make the kind of money I'm talking about, you have to run your 14hr clock out every day and clock in as soon as your 10hr break is up. This is mostly true.
I'm away from my wife and home for 5 to 5.5 days a week, so my feeling is that, since I'm giving up being with her and sleeping in my own bed, why not try to make as much as possible?
I've been here for just over 3yrs, so my pays scale is a bit higher, but...
Yesterday, I did 7 stops (one was live unload) and 507 miles. That's just under $450. Because the farthest store I could get to in the time I had left was 28 miles up a 2 lane back road, I laid down at the DC so I could get clean this morning and I had 55 minutes left on my clock.

Okay thanks, that's what I thought. I'll just have to wait until the DC's are hiring within 250 miles.

That was my meaning. I've come close to hitting $500 in one day and usually make over $400 per day except for my go home day.

Not considering that I used to bust my behind to gross $300 per week working for a landscaping and grass cutting company back in the early 80s.

Always thought it'd be nice to live in an area where you could do lots of stores in a day to rake in the cash. Takes over 250 miles just to get to one store for us.
