Hey Walmart Drivers I have a question on the hiring process. I applied for the Pottsville DC location on Aug 30 and the on the candidate zone it says my application was received. How long does it take for them to call if they are interested in an interview and do they let you know by e-mail if the job(s) have been filled? I keep checking daily to see if there are any new DCs in the area that are looking.
Walmart here I come!

If that's what you decide to do. I extend at least once per month, but I tell them I'm extending a couple times per month.

I applied 6/2 got first interview 8/9 2nd interview and road test on 8/19. Then officially offered a career position 8/30. But its mainly your current job that holds up the hire process. As they won't send information that Walmart ask for. Most outfits tend to get nasty after one puts in a notice. Or gets a call from a prospective employer.
Be patient grasshopper! Walmart transportation isn't like you topical company. Where they hire every week and give you a trk. They ate selective on hiring only the best of the best. (Do you blame them?)
So opening gets posted. Then all the apps are gone thru to see who meets standards. Then bentonville interviews you. If you pass your name is sent to prospective DC for interview, and road test. Then DC calls you with a date and time. After you pass all that. It may be a month before you start.
So 337 may apply. 180 may not meet standards. 100 may flunk out on road test. 30 may not pass background check. 17 may not want the position for some reason. And only 10 will get on. Do you see what I Mean nowdrozzer69 and jarrasmith628 Thank this. -
Take all results with you to your road test day, so when you go for your physical you can show the Dr. That's all you need.

Ok I just got off the phone with my Dc in Lagrange and he told me this is not true! As long as you have a currant d.o.t medical card it's the same physical requirements!! Don't know why you had to do this. But the gentleman wanted to know who you where for saying this.

Hey man can you clarify what the previous member is telling other drivers on here about sleep apnea? I just got off the phone with the dc in Lagrange ga and he seemed alittle upset this guy is telling new hires this info.

1400, 1600, and some 1800. But they're starting some new program where the delivery times are changing.
In any event, I spend more time at other DCs, usually pulling grocery loads. I'm RARELY back at my home DC during the week.
A couple of times, I've had to remind them about my go home day and when I had to have the truck back and they've wound up deadheading me back to my home DC.
That said, I seldom get back to my home DC earlier than 2100 or so. I have a 2.5hr drive home, so that makes for a long last work day.
But, I'm not complaining! I love it here!
