ya ,maybe it was 45s it been about 15 years since ive been out that way. I was kinda hoping someone from Loveland would come on so I could get some more info. im curious to find out if the new guys would be running more out of Cheyenne than Loveland. I looked at the google map over head of the cheyenne dc and saw a lot of walmart bob tails sitting there.

Cheyenne could be all or patially a private fleet operation, like the GRO DC in Grandview,WA and several others. Im not sure what ROC the Loveland guys are planned out under but I would bet they do run alot of Cheyenne freight,in the winter that would be the place to work out of for snow and ice friendly trailers. Plus they probably run more bachaul vendor freight back into Cheyenne, grocery backhauls will run heavy most of the time.

In regards to Jim, no haven't seen him lately. Must be working that 6/2 real hard! Lol then again I would not be on much either if I had a 4 hour commute back and forth as well. 30 min almost up and 200+ to go for Bentonville. They have a load there for me to drag back to Sealy. Nice.

I just mapped that and its a sweet run. Out of Apple the most miles one way is the rare run up to Red Bluff (550) and an the very rare run over to Loveland (1030).

Yeah its nice having the IDC close to us. That is pretty much the longest run we could get. Next would be getting something long out of Plainview TX. or Los Lunas NM. One day ill get up that way as well. We could also hit St. James MO if we are really lucky to get that way.

Having a nice hot breakfast at Waffle House this morning. 582 miles back to Sealy loaded. I should be able to get below Dallas before evening rush. Enjoy you're day ya'll!

Thanks for the heads up on the hiring procedure change Tom. I emailed recruiting and they said ,that is company wide. In a way that's good for a guy like me that applied to several Dcs. Now instead of choosing the 1 st one that calls, they said if I get the call I get to choose which one i want to be interviewed for. Only downside is I will only be considered for the one I choose to interview for.

We had a huge problem with this when I started at Apple in 2011. There had not been any new drivers for years and alot of these guys literally moved into their tractors. Dont know if you guys still have any of the 9700's but I had one that was so full of stuff that I felt like I was living in that drivers hall closet. Im 6'4" and spent the whole night kicking his microwave and chow box, luckily the next day was my go home day. The unwritten rule at least at Apple was you left half the space in any tractor free for extra board drivers, some played along and some not so much. When I was on my 6/3 we had two Petercars and the three of us did pretty well,we put micros and fridges in both trucks and still had plenty of room.

Have quite a few drivers that are like this here plus a lot of shinny on the trucks. I have talked to my gtm about it and they are not stricked about it here. All I do is strip the bedding off and throw it on the upper bunk and hang my shirts in the grab handle. I am most def not going to be like this once I get my own truck. At least now I only deal with this every other week with my flex program. We still have 2 or 3 9600's running but not for long. The kiddney busters are soon gone here.
