We don't work for swift, werner, JB, or drive a pumpkin truck. Walmart hired us because we are the best of the best. This is a slap in the face to us! I believe we are in the top 2 safest carriers on the road. I have no problems with the forward facing cameras but I do have a problem with driver facing. Years ago at a previous job I had the chance to be moved inside to work and train for management. I turned it down because I couldn't stand the thought of being watched constantly. This is the same thing. I was at 6 different Dc''s this week and listened to conversations at some of them this is making your use of the word "firestorm " seem like a huge understatement.

That's something that those trucking lobbyists need to push, why the heck should a company be allowed to prevent someone from leaving or earning more money? Shorten that 30 days down to like 15 or so.layover6 and georgear1084 Thank this. -

I suspect there will be a lot of huffing and puffing, and beyond that, not much. Most all of your larger carriers have them now, so in this Walmart is lagging. I do see it lowering productivity. Those guys who push it, who don't do everything they should, and do things they shouldn't will know that they have to change their ways. They are often the highest earners because they cut little corners here and there. Minutes at a time add up.
So, like the phone thing, it will be interesting to watch. If they truly are running the 2 different systems, one with driver facing and one without, it would be interesting to see the productivity differences.
In the end, Walmart will do what they do if they think it will save them money. They always try things based on that. If it ends up costing them money in the long run, they may rethink their stance. They have done that quite a few times also.drozzer69 Thanks this. -
