I wish they would hurry up. I got 3 apps in the last month, and I would like to not buy a $2500 plate by Dec. 31st. At this point just trying to get my application to switch from under consideration to accepted......RailFanRick Thanks this.

Not to mention them jacking up our trailers! There would be no marks on our trailers if wm drivers only pulled themPharroh336 and BackIsSore Thank this.

Indeed! And the Swift drivers take off with our GM mty's when they reach their final GR stop if the docks are all on the same side of the building. At one of our DC locations we have to share facilities with them. They trash the showers, leave all their garbage in them and make a mess in the bathroom stalls. Nothing like listening to a Swift driver moan and groan in a bathroom stall while you're taking a shower.WallyWife, Ironhead2542 and georgear1084 Thank this.

Luckily I don't have to deal with that in the area I'm in. I have only been with wm a short time and I already cringe seeing a dedicated pulling our trailers! They make us look bad!BackIsSore Thanks this.

Dedicated drivers need to make a living too and if Walmart chooses to use them so be it.

Wow!!! You know there is a major difference between a professional driver, a driver, and a steering wheel holder. And the trucking industry gets such a bad rep because of the conduct of steering wheel holders!!!
Swift has been a place that will hire anyone for so long. And that's been too long, maybe they should change there practices over there. But to have a ucc come in and trash another cc facility is just horrible!!!
But what can I say, CRE straight jacked up WM image till they removed the wm logo from some of the trailers @ my dc!!! -
Private fleet is hiring to eliminate temporary dedicated in the gm D.C.'s .
We will always have swift, prime , Schneider and whoever in the grocery D.C.'s . Do you realize the number of drivers and amount of equipment it would take ? It may happen at random locations but not company wide.
They are also anticipating up to 25 % driver loss with the roll out of cameras .lots of guys thinking retirement will prob roll out .Last edited: Oct 27, 2016
BackIsSore and drozzer69 Thank this. -
I talked with the GTM at our HVDC about our name not being on the trailers. Because USxpress is the domiciled dedicated carrier, they must by company policy put their name on the trailer because they are maintaining and servicing the equipment on site. WM removed our name so as when a dedicated gets in an accident, we are not held accountable. If you think about it, it does make sense to have it that way.
That is why you will see a dedicated name on the trailer sometimes and not WM.BackIsSore and grabberblue12 Thank this.
