Yep Big Brother is creeping at the door at Walmart to have more control of the driver if the cam faces inside the cab and I have had experience with this and they can record you without that camera being triggered by a vibration or bump...my guess is the ole truckers are retiring out due to this coming to the Walmart fleet

I've driven for a carrier who had these driver facing cams. They can't spy on you. It just continuously records and if a critical event is triggered it sends so many seconds before and after the event to safety. There is even a led light that turns red when it logs a critical event and starts to upload footage. It's a very transparent system.

I'm not the one who handled your case, but I do think I know which application was yours based on what was written here. (Don't worry I'm not out to get you or anything here) I'm pretty sure the accident was weather related (could be wrong), the guidelines we use are pretty strict in those cases and are almost always going to be considered preventable regardless of whether or not you were cited.

I can guarantee you though, that if you do continue to drive safe and nothing else comes up as long as you apply again once that DOT Preventable falls outside of 10 years you're just as likely to pass as anyone else assuming you meet all min quals.... it's not a permanent DQ, just temporary.

Someone tell me when my first paycheck will be. I start orientation nov 28? What day of the week does pay period start and end on? Basically where I work now I turn in a trip ticket for the entire week is it the same system or does it go through the computer daily?

Pay period starts on Saturday and ends on Friday. Each pay period is 2 weeks. If you start orientation on 11-28, then your pay period will start on 11-26 and end on 12-9. Your first paycheck will be a hard copy check on 12-15.

Pay is credited for each trip completed before midnight on the end of the pay period. You may complete 5 trips in one day, or 1 trip in 2 days. Depends on where you are and where you have gone since every trip begins and ends at a DC. You will learn more about this process in orientation and experience it more first hand during the week you spend with a mentor.
