Hello,
I discovered this thread by looking for info on walmart drivers. I currently got a voicemail from walmart saying they have openings for driving job that I applied for and she is scheduling phone interviews. Please call me at *** *** ****
Just would like some info because I'm not sure about the job yet. I now work local truck rail in chicago and my schedule is mon, tue, thur, & fri (off wed and weekends) I drive a daycab and work 6pm-6am with a split-seater. The Reason I applied (back in Aug) is my wife got laid off from her job that she made $44,000 per year at. I currently make around $45,000 - 55,000 yr (could make more by working extra days (average 200-350 per day) I heard about the walmat job making over 80,000 per year and I applied to supplement my wife's pay after being laid off. Well she found a job in Nov making $42,000 a year. The DC is 120 miles away from me and if I take the job we would probably move there so my wife would have to quit her job and try to find something out there (don't know if she could find something that pays that much out there)
Can anybody tell me what walmart pays. Is it just mileage (how much) or activity based or salary or hourly? I currently get paid .40 per mile and $45 per load and wondering if working for walmart would be worth it. Also can you work nights? and what's there home time policy like.
I have been driving for 20 years and have 1 million safe miles.
