First phone call is to set up phone interview. On the phone interview you will go over your application, then asked 7 questions that are safety related. What causes jackknifes? How to avoid backing accidents? and such. Not hard be specific and detailed. They will let you know if you make it to the next step which will be a call from the DC you applied to set up pre trip/road test.

Our gtm in Mt. P said yesterday we'll be hiring every quarter this year. 70% of our drivers are over the age of 60. Safety Dan said only 3 out of 7 passed thru the process this last go around. Had 1 retire, 2 transfer, so we're just treading water.

This is for the current drivers I can tell a difference in the way the rock is dispatching us. Especially on the east coast

Yea I'm starting to venture way out now. This past week was the 1st time I've ever been more than 2 days from my home dc.

I think he meant only 3 made it past the pre trip/road test part. At our DC the group before us had 10 come in to test and only 2 got hired, in our group 10 out of 10 passed the test but it appears we lost 2 during back ground checks so 8/10 made it this time.

You would know before you got to orientation because if you were not 100% qualified you would never be given a final offer even come to orientation
