    You can collect it being off duty too. I just write it down as unscheduled time. Never had a problem being payed for it. But once you hit layover wait time stops.

    Hmmm. I just heard a rumour they are phasing out FLW because it screws up the optimizer? Just as I'm getting close to finally having one... Lol

    Why wouldn't you have one now? Unless you are on a program with a different day out each week, you are eligible.

    Around here in the Houston area, having an FLW is mostly no big deal since almost all the stores we service are within 140 miles maximum, with the majority being within 60 miles. Never made much difference to me in how big the paycheck is at the end of the week.

    You start your first day of work going to the same store every week. Some, like mine used to before I got on a 6/3, would have pallets coming back, so every week I knew I'd have a round trip from my D.C., to my same store and back to start my 5 day work week. Mine was relatively short, but we have a few over 400 miles, so then you'd be talking an 800 mile round to start your week, every week.
