you'll have to forgive backissore, because, well his back is sore. If you were to grind a little gear in an unfamiliar truck on one of your more stressful job interviews it will not be held against you. Just drive like you always do and don't curb a tiregeorgear1084 Thanks this.

Jun 12 th if I'm not mistaken.truckdriver31 Thanks this.

Most failed due that they opened the door so they could back up.
-
Well the problem seems that most drivers are failing because "they drive like they always do" . I believe you can either prove you can do a proper pre-trip, drive safely, and back/maneuver a combination vehicle properly while sitting in driver seat buckled in... Or you can't. I know this is a sore subject but I like this job and I want it to remain a good quality job with quality drivers, people, and all that comes along with it. I'm not in favor of drivers with bad habits, cutting corners, and sour attitudes putting on a one day game face getting hired and ruining it for everyone else when they f-up.kruz1980, NYVET, BackIsSore and 2 others Thank this.

Not sure where I said that's what I wanted either, but some of you guys seem to think everyone that applies here just started driving last year. Other than one guy in our class the least experience driver had over 20 years in, so have some respect for those asking questions they may just be an asset to walmart private fleet.

can someone describe the transfer process & do you have to pick 3 choices or can you just pick one , thnx
-
You can pick just one, after you've been at your hiring DC for 12 months.
-
Every DC is different. I was told I'm not proving I can shift, I was to prove I knew my pre-trip, how to not run #### over, curb tires, that I could back a trailer etc. I was told to 'drive how I am comfortable driving' which included floating the gears, and in the end got a glowing critique and subsequent job. Ask up front what is expected of you as far as your driving...you might be told to drive 'by the book' or 'like normal'...again, each DC is different in just about every way.drozzer69, kruz1980, Coover and 1 other person Thank this.

They mentioned a background and reference check. Is that job or personal references? If it's personal, how many do I need to provide?
