I know the company has a pre trip for rodeo video. Your DC have a rash of drivers getting oos on roadsides? Or possibly getting lots of reports of items that should have been caught? I found a Bud wheel that had 9 of the nuts on backwards. Also found an air ride trailer with disc brakes, had one of the Maxi cans bungied to the carrier fram cause the mounting broke off. Those are serious issues that no one should miss.

I don't believe we have many issues with oos, or major problems like you had listed. That's kinda scary finding what you mentioned.

Thinking about applying for Walmart; Johnstown ny D.C. Is hiring drivers, how is the pay and what is the average take home ? Do they use concentra for their physicals? Do y'all have more information on education assistance? Currently enrolled at suny finger lakes for business; 100% online courses. is the pay weekly or bi-weekly ? Do they hold pay for two weeks when you first come aboard ? What's the average costs for their insurance packages they offer their drivers? Are the expenses to attend the 1st & 2nd interview reimbursed if your living with a fiancé in sc but have residence in ny ? For example flying from sc to ny for the interview process or could I do it at the closest D.C. to where I'm temporarily living?

Congratulations to everyone that was hired to walmart , lol I tried to read this lengthy journal y'all started but I decided to log in and reply instead; another question is about the walmart discount within their stores , what is the percentage and what could you use the discount for ?

10% and anything except food (but including fresh produce), and from just before Thanksgiving til Jan 1 you get the discount on all food as well as everything else (except clearance items).

I work out of Marcy as it's closer to home, and love it. I would not hesitate to work from Johnstown had that one been closer. I would tell you to apply to whichever one is closer to home. You'll do plenty of Marcy just like I do plenty of Johnstown (Marcy is GM, Johnstown is grocery). I love the variety, and all I ask of them is to keep me busy...I have no complaints!

What is the difference between the two? With delivering groceries I have to unload?

Grocery is really hard. You have to actually go inside the building and open the trailer. Then, you go use the rest room and/or get something to eat while THEY unload you. You don't touch ANYTHING, Walmart doesn't even want you inside the trailer, and you won't be asked to do anything, the stores know not to even ask. Many times you'll have the MANAGER unload of no-one is available or are on break etc. You just make sure they took of their stuff (each pallet is labeled with the store number), close the door, reseal the trailer, put your lock on and off to the next stop. Many stores are drop/hook for the last stop, with most routes being two stops so you're usually only 'unloading' one and dropping the next...not all, but many. Even still, it's fairly quick, very easy, and a great opportunity to get some groceries or a coffee etc.

GM is the easiest...put the bills in the door handle, take your lock off, bump the dock, drop, hook the empty, and you're off...takes a whole 5 minutes.

    kruz1980 and marcusthegreat Thank this.
