I may be wrong but I think it's the first check in September. Usually it's the month after we get the safety day if I'm not mistaken.

Hello Sky high, I am somewhat familiar with Shaw and I would recommend you come on over to WalMart. As Dboy said though, you will have a long drive. Right now, many of the LTL and special service suppliers are hiring in your area and pay well...not to mention they don't have sleeper cabs so you might check in to them. Talk it over with your family as you will be gone for 5 days at a time and you may have to start out on the extra board. Might be several years before you are assigned a truck.
Keep in mind, if it is not your cup of tea, you can always find a better job than Shaw. In fact, after you have one or two years in with WalMart, accident free, you would probably have a leg up on any other drier if you applied some where else. Drivers who have left the company that I know of, seem to be considered higher quality in hiring situations, so either way you will be better off than Shaw.

 

Hi creeder, at your DC, are they doing away with the other programs to form 5/2 5/3? They are ending our 7/7 and about all of our other bid runs...turning temin to 5/2 5/3s.
