I'm new on this forum. My brother drives for Walmart. I'm here to find out more about Walmart cell phone policy as it relates to video chatting apps. I understand that drivers are being told by older drivers how to bypass the policy and the time threshold requirement by using video chat apps, like Facetime and Google Duo, etc because you use data and not phone that can be pulled by them. I'm curious who has heard of this? I'm also curious what Walmart is going to do about it and if anyone has access to the Safety Dept people to warn them. I have already spoken to one person at the DC and was informed leadership was going to look into it, but it's been almost a month, and my brother hasn't been called in to discuss new safety rules or even one peep out of them to fix this pronto. It seems so dangerous! I know how hard it is to drive a regular vehicle with a cell phone in hand or texting, and this is a huge liability for them to allow it to continue. They now have been given prior knowledge, so if anyone is hurt in an accident, and this is found to be the cause, they knew ahead of time and did nothing about it (or I hope something is in the works but they are moving to slow). Have any of ya'll heard of this before?

Normally any phone policy I’ve ever come across is simply don’t use the phone whilst driving a company vehicle.

Wow...cell phones are dangerous? Who knew? I dunno, something seems suspic. Either troll or a WM snoop...two things come to mind...myob and stay in your lane. If you want to know more about WM cell phone policy, ask them, ask your brother. And FYI WM can check your data usage as well...
