Yes Walmart provides uniforms to be worn.
Hey Greg sorry to hear about your backing. My safety guy has to follow what the company lays out as a set standard for hiring. The DC's have a lot of room to work with when it comes to backing. Right now the challenge is dealing with the backs of stores. As you know Walmart has high standards in their drivers. Consider the fact that you made it to the driving part. 50% of the applicants don't even make it that far. Ill have to agree with Jim (nyvet), you may want to look into ltl companies in Houston. There are quite a few that would give you the backing experience you will need to better yourself. Anyway good luck in what ever you choose to do and I do hope you reconsider applying again in a year.Extreme4x4 Thanks this. -
you have to wait a year to reapply if you don't make it? holy cow now that's even more pressue

Just go to Walmartprivatefleet.com and all of the requirements and details are there. Well, no pay scale or benefits data, but it does have an job listing for each opening.

Hey guys, Im a newb to trucking (Still in school)
I was kind of curious after reading all of your posts here, which different other companies does walmart use to deliver their goods? I think I saw Swift, CCC, and Schneider. I was just wondering, I was thinking about going with Crete or J&R Schugel when I got out of school in 1 month, they seem to be 2 of the better entry level truck driving jobs that I have seen.
Thanks For your help! And as always be safe out there! -
