I think also it has to with the lazy drivers who leave trash in the Walmart parking lot after stopping there… It’s happening more and more and more these days so frankly, I don’t really blame Walmart too much anymore for not wanting trucks because some of these bums I wouldn’t want on my property either

Not only the litter but also landscaping getting destroyed and customers cars getting ran into.Blue jeans, runningman0661, navypoppop and 4 others Thank this.

In addition some areas have local ordinances prohibiting truck parking in certain areas. I can think of 3 off the top of my head, and they’re all in Wisconsin. Also, not all Walmarts own the land they’re built on-the land may be leased to them.

Finally, someone understood and mentioned the issue I reference.
Again, for those that didn't comprehend the point, the communities that don't want the trucks, should be sans the truck. I don't disagree with your points about the junky drivers making it hard for us, but just as you point out it's not kosher for us to boycott, it's also not kosher for them to ban us either.
Soon enough, they won't have to worry about being boycotted. The economic issues will take care of a boycott with insufficient drivers, money to buy, collapsing companies etc...will make folks struggle soon enough, but the point to not deliver to NIMBY anti-truck communities, would be to give them what they want. NO TRUCKS, not just when it's convenient for them to have them. -
Not kosher? It's private property. They can do anything they want.bryan21384, runningman0661 and Opus Thank this.

Exactly why community laws shouldn't be honored. If you have an accident on their property, cops don't care. It's private property. The point, is that stores honoring something they don't have to, because it's private property, shouldn't. Same concept...which goes back to the Sam Walton reference to allow truckers to park in the lots. Not going to get into a long drawn out p***ing match over this. Your opinion, my opinion, leave it alone if you don't agree, but it's not up for debate or belittling. Thank you for playing.

You do know that if there are no local laws against truck parking it is up to the store manager. There are a couple of store in the Omaha area that just have trucks towed off their lot.CAXPT Thanks this.

This opinion won’t be popular, but Walmarts aren’t truck stops. I go in grab what I need and leave. I never spend more than 40 minutes on their property.
I don’t blame stores or cities for banning trucks. Take Lexington, Nebraska for example, they have designated truck parking. In the back lot closest to the interstate there are shopping carts crushed because drivers are too lazy to move them before backing up, trash and pee jugs all over the place, empty pallets thrown in the grass, bags of feces, etc. We are our own worst enemy when it comes to stores and municipalities saying no thanks.Just passing by, Blue jeans, Long FLD and 9 others Thank this. -
You are right
The city of Lexington is wanting to ban truck parking there because of all the problems.Blue jeans, bryan21384, drvrtech77 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Doesn’t surprise me one bit.drvrtech77 Thanks this.
