Don’t know about Estes drivers…since you know, this is a Walmart section. So most Walmart questions can get answered fer ya… Estes
Everything east of Alberquerque (how ever its spelled) and Denver is east. I had the option to transfer when they set up the Eau Claire terminal, but turned it down (I was line haul in Minneapolis at the time). They gave me a months advance warning on it. Now, that being said, I left Estes 7 years ago, so things may have changed, but I doubt it.
I have one good reason to not come to Walmart from ESTES: The Walmart CHANT. Watch it on YouTube. Had I known about it, I would have never applied 8 years ago. The few times my managers have started a meeting with it, I just want to quit instantly. Who created that RIDICULOUS thing?
I just looked that up, I feel like I would lose every ounce of dignity within myself if I was forced to do that. Surely the drivers don’t have to participate in nonsense like that ?
In the past 8 years the number of times I have done the above mentioned chant is absolute "ZERO" watched the HR lady do it in on boarding, to which the other 3 drivers and I looked at each other, laughed, and said no thanks. Haven't seen or heard it since
Supposedly we were told it was originated by "Mr Sam" years ago after visiting a supplier. WM loves its tradition and history quoting the founder and all........ unless it pertains to common sense issues like listening to the drivers, to which sam respected gratefully, also respect for the individual used to be a highly rated core value, not so much nowadays in Woke-Topia
It’s part of their brainwashing…after the chant they give everyone WM flavored cool aid to drink and then they sing koom-ba-ya lol
12 years ago without all your seniority and your cush route I would have said jump as fast as you can… now? No way!!!
Hope he wasn’t slip seating… who’s to say which driver scratched the hood of a shared truck. This is the Most Important and Biggest Issue when sharing a truck with another or several other drivers aka “Slip Seating,” Being Held Accountable For truck and or trailer damage that you honestly did not see to report before you started driving said vehicle!!! Is there no room for honest human error, as in “I truly did not notice said damage and I am not the driver who caused such?”
