I talked to a UPS driver this week. He was now getting 78 cents a mile. They get paid for EVERYTHING they do on duty, nothing free.Walmart was so generous again this year and gave a whole 1 cent a mile raise again after screwing everyone again on health insurance. I now make 49.25 cents per mile, spend more time each week sitting in grocery docks and shippers docks on live loads. Less miles every week.Soon we are being required to carry load locks and straps so any damages will be blamed on the driver. Not a rumor! Go to UPS if you can.
