"Billion dollar retailer" ???? does that number have some sort of significance? If it were a small mom and pop store, then it's NOT alright to throw trash and crap? I have a feeling you'll be found parking in this "billion dollar retailer's" lot when the opportunity presents itself.

Walmart is pure evil. It's sad that truck drivers have to shop there while on the road cause they often don't have any alternative.

Since Sam Walton died the employee profit sharing plan has been done away with, the merit raise system has been done away with, employees used to get $1 more an hour for working on Sundays, that has been done away with. I loved walmart and shopping there when Sam Walton was alive, and after he passed too. I've spent tons and tons of money there over they years, but I haven't spent a penny there in over 3 years. It makes me vomit just to look at one, and I wouldn't take their food if they were giving it away for free. And now on top of it they are hassling truck drivers more and more and more, it's location dependent right now, but at walmart things always get worse not better.

If Walmart is "pure evil", perhaps you can share with us where we can trade (anywhere we may have the need to shop), guilt-free and not support such an awful establishment? We'll be looking forward to a comprehensive list of shopping locations that allow trucks, that are minus Walmart :biggrin_25512: but in the mean time, I hope you don't mind if I shop there. They've made me a lot of money (stocks) and saved me a lot of money weekly vs other available options, in spite of your efforts to destroy them ... sorry :biggrin_2559:

wyldhorses - pure evil may be a little strong?

These days people think it is their RIGHT to waste an employers time. Every single employee at walmart has a phone in their pocket. It's more common to find two walmart employees visiting than working, so, you bet they are paid less these days, because they are doing less. The work ethic has sharply declined - yet they are surprised that wages have dropped.

Things change - sometimes because of cost pressures, and other times due to abuses. Most companies are doing things differently than they did 10 years ago, and walmart is no different. As far as cracking down on truck parking, why should walmart assume the hassle of truck parking? That isn't their business. What other retailer is in the business of offering free truck parking in addition to their retail services?

In most cases, it's not up to WalMart to ban trucks, it's because of local ordinances. However, there are some stores that I suspect are getting very close to banning them. Sunday afternoon, I stopped at the one in Commerce City, Co. on my way to work. There were 8 trucks parked in the front of the lot, and enough trash to warrant a large dumpster. I watched a driver for an expeditor, who shall remain nameless, get out of the truck, drop a bag of trash on the ground and walk across to Chipolte, actually, I guess he was more like waddling to Chipolte. I was certain to let his company know about his behavior, of course WalMart security saw it also and chased the driver down before he got to Chipolte. When I came back by in the semi about 30 minutes later, I noticed he was gone, so perhaps WalMart kicked him out.

You all may be right, but i would bet it's just more of a case of America needs someone to hate and i think it's you drivers and big trucks.
Its politically incorrect to hate on any people of color, sexual orientation, religion, illegal aliens, nerds, criminals or taxpayer funded dead beats.

It however is OK to use as a whipping post whats left of Americas hardworking few.
You are a symbol of what made America strong and i swear it's not very "in" right now -You are probably thought of what the public envisions you to be which would be mostly male, white trash truckers, that speed (in your 60 mph governed trucks).
that pollute the earth and put a hole in the ozone (with your ultra low sulfur diesel and pollution controlled engines).
That spend every minute of the day doing your best to break every law that you can, and drive around in trucks that are so dangerous because of how you purposely ignore every safety rule that are applied to you (even though you are pulled around back and inspected as often as possible and fined for something as simple as a side marker light that went out in route and are fined for first -then told to fix it).

Sorry that's not what i think about you, i think that's what America thinks of you -I think they have moved the typical biker stereo type a couple of notches above you drivers (because they are the ones now playing weekend warrior and donning their biker costumes on the weekends).

Where am i coming from? i talk to a friend from time to time, an O/O who pulls containers locally who tells me frequently who called him an " ***hole" during the day (happens very often).
And by the way he is a well spoken clean shaven non flip flop wearing " ***hole" who doesn't throw his piss bottles and crap bags in anyone's lot.
