This is not trucking. We supply stores.

But yes you will work 5 or 5.5 days during peak then be off. It is not about miles here. I drove 110k miles last year and made 100k. But is is three or four store loads a day, not get behind the wheel fly.

Check out the Walamrt section here, and for Pitts sake do not as recommended by various drivers on YouTube give their name and number for referring you. They did not and are just looking for an insipid recruitment bonus I wish would go away.

Why do we need drivers? Well a new upper management expert was brought in. His vision blew up in their face both on the private fleet and the outside carrier side of things.

Lot of drivers quit. Some have come back.

However with higher freight rates killing them they not only want PF back to old levels(we are approaching those now) they want to increase PF because people like JB Hunt, HUB group, Werner, Schneider, Swift, Prime, Marten are costing more than a private fleet truck to haul products to the stores.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

No one will be doing a 34 in a wal-mart transportation truck. The driver will take his or her restart time off at home or away from the truck.

I have to admit I was a bit taken back when I walked into one of the local WM's a few days ago and saw their big billboard by the entrance looking for drivers. First time I remember seeing that.

Wouldn't surprise me ha. What they really need to do is turn someone, anyone, into #### cashiers. I get a real case of the red ### when I've got a cart full of crap, and the self check out area looks like the front gate at a NFL game, with the line around the block, and the other 25 checkout lines, only 3 of which are open, have lines built up like their waiting to enter the Ark.

With the new transportation head addressing equipment efficiency and utilization earlier this year I can't imagine WM letting a truck sit for 34.
My company is so sensitive to cost that they will send another driver out in the pickup truck to drive a unit back in lieu of a 10 hr layover.
    On occasion 200+ miles.

We do not do 34 hour restarts in a truck period. On the off chance something completely silly happens you would be in a motel for two days.

Do they send out a greeter for the door of your motel room? :)

    Sorry I can’t he
with Wal-Mart but I would think it is very probable to be able to gross 86,000.Adm road driver for example are paid.53 a mile and can gross 86,000 fairly easy of 2900 miles a week when you add in 2 live loads payed at $30 each 2 live unloads at $30 a week also 30 minuets payed for each pre and post trips and 30 minuets for each fuel hourly rate is almost $18 so about $9 each time.Plus if any delays are paid at $18 hour.So if Wal-Mart has a similar pay structure and can average same miles a week.Sure its very possible
