Not really Imhopf (or however you spell the show ponies name) said a bunch never passed Pretrip, and threw a fit about having a stick.

I was not there but he was tailing about it in the break room at Grove.

6059 was Prime, but yeah. A big problem is folks who won the original bid bailed. 59 was supposed to be transformed out of Louisville until they found out that the trailer pool may rotate some. They wanted no part of the maintenance of they had to drop trailers for backhauls. So Number two was called and they were pissed and said no, so we got Werner.......

Yeah I can not say what I want without violating rule #1.

See this is the thing with walmart that i don't understand. Walmart uses so much analytics that it makesmy head hurt, why can't they figure out that they should look into to these cheap ### bid they get and figure out that these companies can't staff and or handle the actual bid they praise for the 9% or what ever they were blowing each other over.

Also isn't there anybody in the ivory tower that couldn't foresee the "driver shortage" due to the ELD implementation, geez we all knew this was gonna effect everything from parking and late deliveries, but bentonville uses this time to piss off a large percentage of their driver base?

While their costs definitely wouldn't have improved, but can you imagine what the added cost of all the dedicated running around has cost above and beyond what our own drivers would've cost. Now with capacity problems it's costing almost twice what they were paying this time last year, we didn't run any dedicated from may up until blitz last year, and now i can't even count how many just our dc has running at any one time close to 10 i bet, think about that. At least 15-20 grand every day, some heads should roll over this debacle.

This is true and don't forget we are getting all new yellow poles and building corners. The hill's analytics only work if you get trained experienced drivers with well maintained equipment and a support crew with a can-do attitude. The contractors coming in now have never handled JIT well and sure don't understand the supply chain wal mart has developed. Fire up a conversation with these new contract hands and you will find they are just out of school and are pulling their first loads....picture Chicago:() Seems to me, some of the smaller contractors were doing better than the big fleets.

James R Smith out of Cullman did a decent job at 6006.

Some of our PTL are ok, but others :biggrin_25513:
