As posted earlier, this is not true. Of course, every single WM driver could be lying................ what do I know.

I would hate to leave my 13 years at the US Postal Service driving and come and work for Walmart and risk being terminated for something minor. I have a phone interview on Tuesday for Mount Crawford Virginia which is 4 hours away from my main residence. I'm not exactly sure what I want to do now your information was very helpful

Do your research, due diligence. This was a rumor a few months ago, and it seems to be coming to fruition. Be safe, best of luck.

There is something else to keep in mind.

There's a story on here from a while back that none of the Walmart drivers have been able to disprove in any way.

Apparently a driver for them pulled over to send a text message, but he was in a bad area. After hitting "send" he pulled off, and the message went through once he got to a better area. When a logs vs phone records audit revealed what happened he was presumed to have been "texting while driving" and subsequently terminated.

I'd hate to see anyone else become a victim of the law of unintended consequences.

    Just a thought.
How much of today's communication is truly important? Does the reply really need to be instantaneous?
Cannot the spouse make the decision on their own?
I have heard many a woman say they will not turn down the volume or turn off their phone because "Jr" may need too get a hold of them. Or men get "Hot under the Collar", because the wife didn't immediately answer their text message.
When my father pulled hanging beef out of the Ft Worth stockyards back in the 50"s, we didn't hear from him for days. Maybe he would call collect, after 7pm of course, because of lower phone rates, and get everything said in 3 minutes or less.
The world won't self destruct if you wait to text back or make a call. As more and more states implement "Hands Free" laws, it is only going to get worse as far as fines for using the phone while driving. And if the company policy is "no use while driving at all", then company policy rules. Don't like the rules, go elsewhere.

If that is true it sure is a horrible way to go out the door. If there was no incident that warranted the cell phone review then why were they even checking his records anyway and how do you take the travel records over his personal statement? That's just a horrible way to end a person's way to be gainfully employed I'm not trying to go through any of that so I will definitely ask straight up questions on my phone interview Tuesday. Thanks
